Sunken Maple - Under water for over 150 years!
Own a pen with a little history. This wood is old growth wood cut by axe prior to 1850 and has been under water for over 150 years. The wood has been air dried for 2 years. It has a very fine grain and turns to an excellent finish. The color is white sap wood and brown heart wood with some unique color from mineralization.
